Pinup Tutorial

This is a pretty cool video on making a Pinup Girl in Illustrator.  Based on watching this, it looks like the entire thing was made using the different brushes available in Illustrator, and changing the stroke and fill colors.  I think it's really interesting, and hope you all do to!

Gradient and Brush Practice

Today I was messing around and practicing with the different brush tools, and this is what I came up with.  To make this image, I took a picture of myself from my computer and traced it using the brush tool, went in and changed the style of the brush so it looked more like a paintbrush, and hid the original picture of me so it is no longer visible.  Next, I used the brush tool to create the red flowers going down the right side of the image.  To make the flowers, I found a different brush tool that was a random assortment of these flowers, and simply drew a line, and the flowers appeared.  The words "do it with passion or not al all..." were created in the same way; using the brush tool to write it out and finding a style that I liked.  Finally, I created the gradient in the background by using the rectangle tool to draw a rectangle, then using the gradient window to select the colors and adjust it to how I wanted it to look.

Tinkerbell in Illustrator

Santi asked us to pick a cartoon character and trace them using the pen tool in Illustrator over the weekend.  I chose Timkerbell, because I love her and she's the best.  The original image I started with is pictured first, and I found it via Google.  The next picture is after I traced it with the pen tool and got all the curves to match up as best I could, and then went in with the line tool to make all the contour lines in the wings, face, arms, legs, and dress.  The third picture is my contours only, with a white background added so that you can see the image.  This was super difficult to do on a laptop, but I think it turned out pretty good.

Atomic Learning

Using Atomic Learning to understand Adobe Illustrator was very helpful.  The video tutorials were great in explaining how to use different tools.  While it was helpful, I personally prefer to Google any question that I have, but it is nice to know that I have another resource to use if I have any questions.

Illustrator Practice

Practicing in Adobe Illustrator.  Basically I was just messing around with different tools, creating layers, and messing with the opacity to make it look pretty cool I think.  Here's the result:

Animation

For this project, I had to make an animated video that was at least 45 seconds long.  Starting this project, I had no idea what to do.  I had absolutely zero ideas and found myself in a bit of a creative block.  What I started with are the videos in the second half of my animation; the ones with me and Zach.  Basically, the first two days of spring break I gave him a warning that I was going to be recording him pretty much nonstop hoping for a little inspiration, and I guess that was pretty inspiring.  This video turned into "A Day in the Life of Breanne" as I started recording myself getting ready for the day and going about the day with my wonderful boyfriend.
I actually ended up cutting a lot of clips from this video, because it ended up being almost 2 minutes long, which was too much for me to process at the time.  I applied a filter to Every. Single. Frame. And also added animations with thought bubbles, words going across the screen, flashing hearts, etc.
To add the sound, I used music from GarageBand, and recorded my voice (yes, that's me singing...bear with me, I'm not a singer).  Anyways, I hope you all enjoy my animation!
This was a fun project to make.  It was super time-consuming, but I really did have fun with it!
ENJOY!!!

Oh wow side note after watching this like a million times I realize that in the clip where I'm waiting for Zach to look over at me, I have a thought bubble and I spelled eventually wrong...this is awkward...I promise I know how to spell...please ignore that typo...wow I cannot believe I did that...
Anyways, that is all...

Creating My Animation

For my next project, I had to make an animated video that is at least 45 seconds long.  I have been working on making the video in Photoshop for two or three weeks now, and have been working on creating the soundtrack for about three days now.  While I am not posting the video yet, I decided to show you all what I have been staring at on my computer screen for the past few weeks.
When creating the video, each frame is set to be 0.1 seconds long, meaning that in order for the video to be 45 seconds, it would have to be at least 450 fames (credits not included).  Mine ended up coming to 673 frames, making my video 1 minute 7.3 seconds (credits included).
The soundtrack was created using GarageBand, and was actually really fun to make and create my own music.  Anyways, here's what I've been working on.  The actual video will be posted later this week!

Party in the Park 2016

Last night Hunter Hayes came and performed at Party in the Park at UT, and obviously I took a million pictures because it was super awesome and I was in like the third row.  Anyways, I edited this one on my personal Instagram account, and thought it looked cool after I edited it (all done in the app), so I decided to post it here too!  It was such a fun night, the concert was amazing, and the crowd as super excited!  Anyways, I just wanted to post another update on here because I know it's been a while.
PS ~ I'm almost done with my next project, so that'll be up sometime this week (probably around Tuesday-ish), so please just bear with me!  I promise more cool stuff is on the way!
